Making money in RuneScape! (Tips included!)

As a guy walking around in a prayer cape, I often get the question “How do you make your money?” Honestly, I dont. I’m a haxx0r! RAWR. No not really. I just do my fishing :D note that this isn’t the best way to make money! There isn’t really a “Best way to make money” since merchanting and hacking is practicly impossible these days. Pking sucked and still sucks for money, unless you were a lucky ph*ck to somehow meet some kind of idiot in wildy wearing a party hat or some other rare… WHY would you do this?! laik awmagawd

Well of course! There’s RuneCrafting! But remember, RuneScape is a game! It’s made so you can enjoy yourself. If you enjoy runecrafting, go for it you lucky dog, enjoy all your rares after u get 91 runecrafting. After all, you DO like runecrafting, so it’s at least 91, right? If you don’t like runecrafting, like me (level 63 rcing), you should think about what you DO like to do in RuneScape. If the answer is “Spend money” I kindly request you to stick some sharp needles under you fingernails. Thanks!
Now we’ve decided what skill we like. Now try to find out if there’s any way to make reasonably good money with this skill. If there isn’t, tough, keep on looking. I’ll now note some skills and money making oppertunities:

(—) = Scks! You might be better off searching crates for gp!
(-) = Not bad at all, but it won’t get you any rares soon.
(+) = Now we’re talking! Keep working and you’ll have a very nice gear gathered up.
(++) = WOOHOHOHOHOOO! NICE! All your p-hat are belong to us! (really good for all u internet newbs)

• Melee combat: - Kill creatures, maybe train slayer. (-)
• Ranged – Kill dragons and collect bones, d hides and possibly rares! (+)
• Magic – Kill dragons (see ranged) or do barrows. (+)
• Prayer – Helps with melee, ranged and magic. Definitly barrows! (—)
• Mining – Mining coal and rune. (-)
• Smithing – Smith rune. (-)
• Fishing – Fish lobsters/swordfish/shark and sell those. (+)
• Cooking – Depending on the price of raw and cooked fish, you could buy raw and sell cooked fish. Usually makes you lose money though. (-)
• Woodcutting – Cutting yews and/or magic logs and selling them, or combine them with fletching and magic. (+)
• Firemaking – This skill is the most useless ever. (—)
• Crafting – Craft dragonhide bodies and alch them. (-)
• Runecrafting – Craft nature runes, 2 natures runes every 1 pure essence = GOLD MINE! (++)
• Agility – Fun skill, makes you run faster and the cape emote is fun. For money, it’s rather useless. (—)
• Herblore – Depends on the price of certain potions, herbs and extra ingredients. These aren’t very stable, so you’ll have to figure out yourself what you should herblore. Usually you lose money though. (-)
• Thieving – Thieving nature runes goed rather slow, but it’s something. (-)
• Fletching – Buy logs, or cut them yourself, then fletch them into bows with bowstrings (buy or pick and spin) then alch the bows. Good training for woodcutting, magic and fletching itself! (-)
• Slayer – On higher levels, some monsters give good drops, like abyssal demons. It’s not as good as it used to be though! (+)
• Farming – Growing some herbs can make a reasonable profit. (+)
• Construction – Some flatpacks can earn some money, but not much at all. (—)
• Hunter – Catching (red) chinchompas can make you a very nice amount of money. (++)
• Summoning – Some summoning creatures can really help in the skills mentioned above, but with only summoning, you can hardly make money.(-)

These are all ratings based on my own experiences and the people around me. (excluding nubs)
